Consultant Chris Vevers presents 30 minutes of entertainment on
public speaking, presentation skills and tips on how to get your message
across. Chris has post graduate qualifications in Law and Human Resource
Management. This show aims to
lighten a one or two day corporate program by being entertaining but
maintaining the focus and message of your corporate training. It reflects on
the skills used by entertainers, along with anecdotes and teaches
participants how to impress with magic.
With many years in the industry
we have built up a good network of variety entertainers, in the region. If we
can't personally provide the style of entertainment you are looking for, we
will refer you to someone who can. We assist in booking, jugglers, clowns, unicyclists,
fire-eaters, tight rope walkers, stilt walkers and a range of other acts for
your event. We specialise in Variety Acts but sorry no musicians or X-rated
performers. Lost Magical Arts This features a selection of the best of shadowgraphy,
paper tearing, ventriloquism, magic and Houdini illusion to provide both an
entertaining and educational experience of those magical arts now largely
forgotten, from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. Space
permitting it also replicates Houdini’s illusion, metamorphosis. Since 1999 Chris Vevers taught
theatre in Hong Kong for Faust International Youth Theatre and conducting Theatre
workshops for the American Community Theatre. A similar service to schools,
and clubs with magic an underlying theme can be provided. Chris Vevers and his
living puppets, Willy the Kid and Uncle Arthur appear in both Children and
Adult shows. The characters are by world renowned figure makers Timothy
Selberg and Axtell. They challenge the audience on the latest
issues, they step close to the edge where no mere mortal would dare to
tread and have a rollicking good time, usually at Chris' expense.
The skills of theatre and magic
are also common to the world of storytelling and that's why we have been
invited to many libraries and International Book Festivals in Australia and
Hong Kong to present book readings and perform magic. Shadowgraphy We use the template and free hand methods to create a
insight into the lost world of shadow puppetry. Experience the beauty of the
shadow world. Fire Eating Yes this is the hot stuff. We usually do this as part of our main show but we can do a special session featuring fire only if you require it. |
